The Mineral Point Railroad Society museum is open seasonally, from the first weekend in May to late October. Hours of operation are: Thursdays 10am-4pm, Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-4pm and Sundays 12-4pm.

Pendarvis Historic Site

Mineral Point's own State Historic Site opens for the season. Check out the early lead mining era homes, visit the gift shop, and when you're all done stop off at Brewery Creek. Sounds like a perfect day.
Taliesin Tours

Frank Lloyd Wright's place in Spring Green. You know, the architect. The regular season runs from May 1 through October 31 and includes 5 types of tours. Weekend tours are available in November and April. Because the Taliesin Estate is privately owned, it is accessible only on a guided tour. Call toll free at 877-588-7900 OR tours@taliesinpreservation.org. Since you are in the area why not spend the night at Brewery Creek, less than half and hour away?

AKA "The Farmers' Market" is held every Saturday morning at Water Tower Park from early May to the end of October. Produce, plants, meat, and lots more, starting slow and building as the season progresses. Everything is locally produced. A lot more than just a bunch of fruit and veg, its almost a social event.
