Summer Hours!
June 3, 2008 to October 31, 2008Begins at 11:30 a.m.
The Brewery Creek restaurant goes back to "in-season" hours, sort of an event..... Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Friday and Saturday 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM Sunday 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday, restaurant closed. Lodging is available even when the restaurant is closed.
American Players Theater
June 7, 2008 to October 5, 2008Let the season begin! Loads of people stay at Brewery Creek while enjoying the great performances through October 5th. Details at: APT
Cycling
June 25, 2008 to August 1, 2008There is a new map of bicycling routes in the Area. It covers Iowa, Lafayette and Grant counties and includes 28 loops which are easily adapted as you ride. They are available here at Brewery Creek, the Mineral Point Chamber of C office and other places.
THE WEATHER
June 26, 2008 to December 31, 2008The weather has been very nice of late, but still a bit cooler than normal. The crops are definitely behind. Warm in the sun, cool in the shade, breezy but not too much. Summer is here at last.
A good side of all the rain is that the winter sand and gravel are all gone. The road biking season is well underway.
Fifteen minutes to the North is Governor Dodge State Park. To the East is Yellowstone Lake park. Northwest is the Blackhawk Lake Recreation Area. Biking, hiking, fishing, picnicing, all available at these locations. Do a search on any of these to get current conditions and events etc.
The Fourth
July 4, 2008Celebrate the 4th of July with 2 and 5 mile runs, a Parade, Barbeque, Music, Games and Fireworks.

Cornish Festival Pub Night

Where else but at Historic Pendarvis. Brewery Creek beer plays a supporting role. "The quaint Kiddleywink Pub in the rowhouse at Pendarvis offers a special evening with live music, a cash bar, and a variety of pub games. This event is a fund-raiser for the Pendarvis Memorial Endowment Trust and coincides with Mineral Point's citywide Cornish Festival."
